What the Street Space Permit Covers
The permit authorizes a defined area of the street for a defined period. For a dumpster, that is normally one or two parking spaces in front of the work site. The container must stay inside that area and must not block the travel lane, a fire hydrant, a crosswalk or a driveway that is not yours.
Choosing the Spot
The best location is directly in front of the property, along the curb, on a stretch without a tow-away or commercial loading zone. A 10 or 20 yard dumpster usually fits one to two parking spaces; a 40 yard needs more length. Tell us about street cleaning signs and any steep grade when you book.
