Hauling Charges Guide
Understand what hauling services include and when additional charges may apply for your dumpster rental project.
What Are Hauling Charges?
Hauling charges are additional fees that apply when you need professional assistance beyond basic dumpster delivery and pickup. These services involve our crew helping with loading, debris removal, sorting, or other hands-on work that goes beyond the standard rental service.
What Hauling Charges May Include
Loading Assistance
If workers help load debris into the dumpster for you. This service is ideal when you have heavy items or large volumes of debris that would be difficult to handle on your own.
Debris Removal from Inside Property
If the crew enters your home, garage, or backyard to retrieve junk.
Note: More time-consuming and hauling-intensive than curbside pickup
Sorting or Separating Materials
If workers must sort recyclables, construction debris, or other materials.
Impact: Increases handling time and complexity of the job.
Stairs or Difficult Access
- Carrying debris up/down stairs
- Access issues like narrow hallways or long distances from dumpster to debris
Overage Work
If the project goes beyond the agreed time or scope.
Example: Loading more items than originally quoted or working extra hours
Site Cleanup
Sweeping, bagging loose debris, or raking the area after dumpster removal.
Important: Not usually included in basic service
Tips to Minimize Hauling Charges
Prepare Items in Advance
Have all debris ready and accessible near the dumpster location
Clear Access Paths
Ensure clear, wide pathways from debris to dumpster
Sort Materials Yourself
Pre-sort recyclables and different material types
Be Accurate with Estimates
Provide detailed, accurate descriptions when requesting quotes
Schedule Appropriately

Discuss stairs, narrow access, or special requirements upfront
